Bureau Exécutif de CGLU 2018
Le Bureau Exécutif de Cités et Gouvernements Locaux Unis (CGLU) se tiendra les 23 et 26 mai au siège du Parlement Européen à Strasbourg, France, à l'invitation de Roland Ries, Maire de la ville, et Co-président de CGLU.
Les temps forts du programme:
- La réunion du Groupe de Travail sur la Prévention Territoriale et la Gestion des Crises ainsi que la réunion de la Communauté de Pratiques sur la Mobilité et le Comité de Pilotage du Forum sur les Villes Intermédiaires, se tiendront le mercredi 23 mai.
- Le Comité de gestion financière et la Commission des affaires statutaires devraient se réunir le jeudi 24 mai.
- La session statutaire du Bureau Exécutif se tiendra le vendredi 25 mai.
- Les 4 Conseils Politiques se réuniront les 24 et 25 mai sous la forme de tables-rondes interactives entre Ministres et Gouvernements Locaux.
Des villes inclusives et sûres, clé du développement durable
Le 25 mai aura lieu un dialogue de haut niveau réunissant ministres, maires, gouverneurs et autres représentants gouvernementaux. Ce dialogue organisé en partenariat avec le Comité Consultatif des Autorités Locales auprès des Nations Unies (UNACLA), a pour objectif de relier les objectifs mondiaux à la mise en œuvre du Nouvel agenda urbain et de contribuer à l'évaluation de l'Objectif 11 du développement durable (ODD) lors du Forum politique de haut niveau (HLPF par ses sigles en anglais) qui se tiendra du 9 au 18 juillet à New York.
Les conclusions de ce Dialogue seront ensuite présentées au HLPF sous la forme d'expériences pratiques de mise en œuvre et de suivi des ODD au niveau local, avec un accent particulier sur l’ODD11.
La journée se terminera par la session statutaire du Bureau Exécutif de CGLU et les réunions se poursuivront jusqu' à samedi matin avec une séance sur le Forum des Directeurs des Associations de Gouvernements Locaux.

The highlights of the programme:
- The meeting of the Working Group on Territorial Prevention and Management of Crises as well as the meeting of the Community of Practice on Mobility and the Steering Committee of the Forum on Intermediary Cities session will be held on Wednesday 23rd of May.
- The Financial Management Committee and the Committee on Statutory Affairs are expected to take place on Thursday 24th of May.
- The Business Session of the Executive Bureau will be held on Friday 25th of May.
- The 4 Policy Councils will gather on 24th and 25th of May in the form of a Dialogue between Ministers and Local Governments.
Inclusive and safe cities, key for sustainable development
On the 25th of May a high level dialogue will take place bringing together Ministers, Mayors, Governors and other governmental representatives. The session organized in partnership with the United Nations Advisory Committee of Local Authorities (UNACLA) aims at linking the global goals with the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and contributing to the upcoming assessment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 to the upcoming High Level Political Forum (HLPF) that will take place on 9-18th July in New York.
The outcomes of this event will be brought to the HLPF in the form of practical experiences of implementing and monitoring the SDGs at local level with special focus on SDG11l.
The day will conclude with the business session of the UCLG Executive Bureau and will the meetings will conclude on Saturday morning with a session on the Forum of CEOs of Local Governments Associations.
