{"id":7255,"date":"2018-09-12T09:28:35","date_gmt":"2018-09-12T09:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uclg-digitalcities.org\/en\/consejo-mundial-de-cglu-2018\/"},"modified":"2018-09-12T09:29:50","modified_gmt":"2018-09-12T09:29:50","slug":"consejo-mundial-de-cglu-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uclg-digitalcities.org\/en\/consejo-mundial-de-cglu-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"UCLG World Council 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UCLG World Council will be held on\u00a0<strong>5-8 November in Madrid<\/strong>, Spain, under the invitation of the Mayor of the city,\u00a0<strong>Manuela Carmena.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The World Council will be held in the framework of the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciudadesdepaz.com\/en\/home-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">2nd World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>The Madrid World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace is a meeting place for local leaders, international organisations and networks, the academic world, NGOs and civil society.<\/p>\n<p>Its purpose is to open a joint process of debate, reflection and construction of common solutions that foster urban environments capable of eliminating expressions of violence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><em>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uclg.org\/en\/organisation\/structure\/governing-bodies\/world-council\" target=\"_blank\">World Council<\/a>\u00a0is the principal policy-making body of the World Organization.
