{"id":3151,"date":"2013-06-20T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-20T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uclg-digitalcities.org\/?p=3151"},"modified":"2015-07-09T14:09:03","modified_gmt":"2015-07-09T14:09:03","slug":"report-of-the-working-meeting-in-bordeaux","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uclg-digitalcities.org\/en\/report-of-the-working-meeting-in-bordeaux\/","title":{"rendered":"Report of the working meeting in Bordeaux"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>On the 31<sup>st<\/sup> of May was held in the French City of Bordeaux a working meeting between Committee members of the European Section.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The working meeting organized by the <strong>City of Bordeaux<\/strong>, Vice-President of the Committee for Europe in collaboration with the <strong>City of Bilbao<\/strong>, President of the Committee was attended by <strong>7 European cities<\/strong>: Bilbao (Spain), Bordeaux, Pau, Poitiers, Toulouse, Suresnes (France), Milano (Italy) and Lappeenranta (Finland) and <strong>a representative of UCLG&acute;s World Secretariat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the Committee we consider that these kinds of meetings are very important since they give the opportunity to the committee members to <strong>meet and discuss<\/strong> <strong>in small operative groups<\/strong> diverse issues that are for interest in the cities, <strong>share knowledge<\/strong> but most of all, to create a <strong>space to facilitate future collaboration between cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to focus the work developed in the working meetings<strong>, each working meeting will be centred in one of the key areas of performance<\/strong> identified during the elaboration of the &#8220;Smart Cities Study: International study on the situation of ICT, innovation and Knowledge in cities&#8221;
